Pointing out that it is necessary not to forget the realities of December 21, when the Akritas plan was put into effect with the aim of destroying the Turkish Cypriots and connecting the island to Greece and the Republic of Cyprus was occupied, Turkish Cypriots were expelled from the government, state employees were dismissed and tens of thousands of people were forced to migrate, Ahmet Savaşan emphasized that if a permanent agreement has not been made in Cyprus today after 54 years, the main internal and external responsibles of this should be seen sincerely.
Stating that the state is the most important acquisition in order to look to the future with hope, Ahmet Savaşan wished that the pain of December 21 would not be repeated again and said, “I commemorate our martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom of the Turkish Cypriot People with mercy and our veterans with gratitude.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row
